Welcome!
Welcome to our Budding Writers Blog! The aim is to provide a simple way for us all to post our writing samples, provide helpful comments and constructive criticism, and also provide links to useful writing resources. We'll also post details of our next meeting times and "homework" theme to keep us motivated for the next get together. If you can't make it to a monthly meeting in the Botanic Gardens, then you can still post your writing here anyway!
Let's see how it goes ...

Hi Pam,
I enjoyed your "peice" especially the speil of "the redfern mob"outside Hungry jacks. Hopw did they get from there ( the dreaming, the outback" to here. How do we help them get back? Just lovely and insightful and powerful narrative.
Vergil, as always your writing is intelligent, gentle and simple but beautiful. I enjoyed it very much.
Its much more difficult to express yourself or a thought in so little words but you always do so quite succinctly. I am working on next months peice but although I have a million ïmpulses" about the picture, they are tettering on the edge of my brain and I can't shake them out and fit them to words. I think its called thinkers block! Its extremely frustrating. One of my colleagues caught me staring at the screen yet again today and said,"whats with you and the elephant?"So maybe my peice will be called "Katrina and the elephant!" Well I am sure I will have produced something on the day,
Katrina
Katrina - thank you for your kind words - they are very encouraging! I'm looking forward to Katrina and the elephant.
I really enjoyed both your pieces Pam and Vergil - in fact it inspired me to sign up to another session of classes... I haven't found them quite as inspirational as our last though. So if anyone has any recommendations about other creative writing classes you h ave enjoyed please let me know....
I am picking some guests up in the city on Saturday at 11am so will probably struggle to make the 10.30am meeting... again! Very frustrating. I will endeavour to write something around the photograph though and post it. Thanks again Vergil for setting up the blog. I am very impressed you are so computer literate...You obviously have a highly active left and right brain! Enjoy saturday
Caroline
Thank you Caroline. Sorry you can't make it again, but one of the purposes of this site is to allow contribution and discussion of our writing on line as well as in person, so we'll be looking forward to your post on the picture!
